Alessandro Shoes was founded in Singapore in 1994 with a singular conviction — that a man's shoes are not merely footwear, but a quiet declaration of who he is. In the years since, we have built our reputation on one unwavering standard: the pursuit of the finest craftsmanship in men's footwear.

Our Beginning

We opened our first doors at Scotts Shopping Centre in 1994, at a time when luxury European footwear was a rarity in Singapore. Our founder's vision was simple but demanding: to offer the Singaporean gentleman access to the same quality of shoe available on the finest streets of Milan, Florence, and Almansa — without compromise. What began as a curated edit of artisan-made footwear has grown, over three decades, into a trusted destination for men who understand the value of what they stand in.

Why Craftsmanship Matters

In an age of fast fashion, we remain committed to a slower, more considered philosophy. Every pair we carry has been chosen for the integrity of its construction — whether it bears the Goodyear welt that allows it to be resoled indefinitely, or the Blake stitch that gives it its refined, slender silhouette. We believe that a well-made shoe, properly cared for, should outlast the trends around it. It is an investment, not a transaction.

Our Brands

We are proud partners of three distinguished houses: Alessandro Made in Italy, our own label produced in the finest workshops of the Italian peninsula; Mario Minardi, an artisan house with roots in both Vigevano and Indonesia, established in 1982; and Magnanni, a celebrated Spanish house founded in 1954 in Almansa — whose hand-finished shoes are renowned for exceptional patina work, Bologna stitch construction, and an elegance that has made them a favourite of the discerning gentleman the world over. Our leather care range is formulated in collaboration with Kenda Farben, a specialist Italian leather treatment house with over six decades of expertise.

Our boutique is located at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Level 3 Men's Shoes Department, 391 Orchard Road, Singapore 238873. We are open daily from 10:30am to 9:30pm.
