Sizing & Fit
What sizing system do you use?
All our shoes are sized in European (EU) measurements. Our size guide provides a full conversion chart between EU, UK, and US sizes. As a general reference, a UK 8 corresponds to an EU 42.
Do you carry wide fittings?
Select styles are available in standard (D) and wide (E/EE) fittings. Width availability varies by brand and style. We recommend visiting us in store for a professional fitting, particularly if you have a wider foot or high instep.
How do I measure my foot at home?
Stand on a sheet of paper and trace around your foot. Measure the longest distance from heel to toe, and the widest point across the ball of the foot. Our team is happy to advise remotely using these measurements.
My usual size feels different between brands. Why?
Fit varies between shoe lasts — the moulds over which shoes are constructed. Mario Minardi shoes tend to run slightly narrow in the toe box, while our Alessandro Made in Italy range offers a more generous fit. Our team can advise on the differences between specific styles.
Ordering & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayNow, and GrabPay. All transactions are processed in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and secured via Shopify's PCI-compliant payment gateway.
Can I order by phone or email?
Yes. For assisted purchases or to reserve a specific size, please contact our store directly. Our team can confirm availability and process your order.
Will I receive an order confirmation?
An order confirmation is sent automatically to your email address upon successful payment. Please check your spam folder if it does not arrive within a few minutes.
Delivery & Shipping
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery within Singapore takes 3–5 business days. Express delivery (1–2 business days) is available at checkout for an additional fee.
Is there free delivery?
Complimentary standard delivery is available on all orders within Singapore.
Do you ship internationally?
International shipping is available to selected countries. Rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout. Customs duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We accept exchanges and returns within 7 days of purchase, provided the item is unworn, in its original condition, and accompanied by the original receipt. Items showing signs of wear cannot be accepted.
How do I make a return or exchange?
Returns and exchanges can be made in person at our Takashimaya boutique. If you are unable to visit, please contact us to arrange an alternative. We do not offer prepaid return labels at this time.
Leather Care
How often should I condition my shoes?
For shoes worn two to three times per week, we recommend conditioning with a quality leather cream every four to six weeks. Regular conditioning keeps the leather supple and prevents cracking, extending the life of your shoes significantly.
Which leather cream should I use?
Use a neutral (colourless) cream on lighter or multi-toned leathers, and a colour-matched cream on darker solids such as black or dark brown. Our Kenda Farben range is available in several shades. Our in-store team can advise on the correct product for your pair.
How should I store my shoes?
Store your shoes on cedar shoe trees after each wear. Cedar absorbs moisture and preserves the shoe's shape. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and use the dust bags provided for long-term storage.
Can my shoes be resoled?
All our Goodyear-welted shoes can be fully re-soled, extending their life indefinitely. Blake-stitched styles can also be resoled. Our in-store team can advise on reputable resoling services in Singapore.
Product Questions
What is the difference between Goodyear welt and Blake stitch construction?
Goodyear welt construction uses a strip of leather (the welt) stitched to both the upper and insole, with the outsole then stitched to the welt. This creates a durable, water-resistant shoe that is easily resoled. Blake stitch construction joins the upper, insole, and outsole in a single seam, producing a slimmer, more flexible shoe with a sleeker profile. Both are considered premium methods — the choice is largely one of preference and end use.
How do I know a shoe is genuinely Made in Italy?
All Alessandro Made in Italy are produced entirely in Italy and carry internal branding confirming their origin. Mario Minardi shoes are produced in Indonesia by Italian-trained artisans under Italian quality supervision. We stand fully behind the provenance of every product we carry.
What is a shoe last?
A last is the solid form — traditionally wooden — over which a shoe is constructed. Its shape determines the toe profile, heel height, and overall fit. Different lasts suit different foot shapes, which is why the same size can fit differently across styles. Our team can help you identify which last works best for your foot.
